Make-Up blog #5

I've recently learned some new songs on the drums. The songs are "Still YDG'n" By Of Mice & Men, "Magnolia" By Texas In July, "[&] Delinquents" By Woe, Is Me, and "On Veiled Men" By Woe, Is Me. These are very intricate songs on the drums and took me a while to learn. I'm getting better at drums everyday and I'm proud of myself for how good I've gotten in the small amount of time I've been playing, which is two years.

Make-Up blog #4

I remember when I was little and I used to stay at my grandparent's house on Friday nights so I could get up Saturday morning and watch cartoons. I used to love to watch cartoons every single day, but Saturday was my favorite day because my favorite cartoons were always on. My favorites were; Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, Rocket power and Hey Arnold. I still to this day enjoy watching Spongebob because it is really the only old cartoon that is still on the air and is still good. I never get to watch Saturday morning cartoons anymore because I am always sleeping in on Saturday's, because when I'm not in school I try to get as much sleep as possible. I think the new cartoons they have on are garbage and no where near as good as any of the old cartoons made.

Make-Up blog #3

Music is a very important thing in my life. I love to play music and I love to listen to music. When I play music I usually play drums but I also like playing guitar and bass. I've been in many bands and have played a couple shows, one of them being at the Alrosa Villa in downtown Columbus. My main music playing styles are Rock and Heavy Metal, which are also my favorite types of music to listen to. I have a very diverse like for music. I can listen to Country one song and then the next song I listen to could be acoustic, alternative or death-core. My favorite bands are A Day To Remember, Miss May I, Of Mice & Men and MyChildren MyBride.

Make-Up blog #2

I have heard a lot of people talk about texting and driving. Being distracted while driving is bad to begin with but being as distracted has texting while operating a vehicle is very stupid and dangerous. I am glad that Ohio but a law against texting and driving, but I think that most people will try to hide that they are texting and will only cause more distraction and thus more car crashes. If I am in the car with someone that is texting and driving I would tell them to stop because that is stupid to do while driving. With the law in affect it will save a lot of crashes and save a lot of people from dying and getting hurt.

Make-Up blog #1 6/15/11

I’m very excited that it is finally summer vacation. Summer is my favorite time of year because there is no school and I don’t have to wake up really early. I can hangout with friends and do things on regular school nights. So far my summer has been good. I have hung out with my friends a lot and football camp has started and it is going well. I also went to Zoombezi bay yesterday with my dad and had a lot of fun, but I got really sunburnt. I hope that the rest of my summer is fun and very enjoyable.

This week in english we have been reading me and orson welles. it is a very good book and i am enjoying it. my favorite part so far is when richard set off all the fire sprinklers and got everything soaked and orson was so mad. but no one found out it was him so he got to keep his part in the play. we have also been taking quizzes on the book which are really easy.

English-4/17/11

This week in English we read act 1-3 of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. It's a pretty okay play. Alot of weird stuff happens though and they talk funny but it's a pretty okay play. I liked the part where the dude's hand was on fire, and the lion was just randomly walking down the street. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the play and seeing what happens.

Diary

Dear Diary,

Wrestling practice was really hard today. Coach is working us to the max. I’ve been wrestling Tavo everyday for about a month now. I feel I’m improving a lot. Our first wrestling match is this Tuesday; hopefully I will win so I can gain the respect I’ve been looking for from Tavo and the rest of the eighth graders. I’ve been seeing dad a lot more now too which is really helping m spirits. Hopefully I will see him at my match

Dear Reader,

In this post I will be informing you on the themes in the book “Winning Season: Takedown”. I will also be giving you a brief summary of the book. The themes in this book are Determination and Fortitude. Determination is the quality of being determined to do or achieve something. The main character, Donald, is very determined to win his wrestling matches. After losing two matches he works his butt off in practice and asks the coach to put him up against Tavo. Tavo is an eighth grader and is one of the best wrestlers on the team. Donald is determined to win his matches. With determination he finally wins his last match. Fortitude is strength of mind that enables one to endure adversity with courage. Donald has to overcome the adversity of being a seventh grader and a first year wrestler. He overcomes both of those when he wins his last match. This is a very good book. It’s all about how Donald overcomes is lack of experience for wrestling and wins his final wrestling match.

Greatest Achievement

My greatest achievement was when I play my first gig with my band. I was super nervous about it all day, And I was even more nervous when It was about five minutes before we went on. My bandmates where there to get me pumped up and my dad talked to me and just told me to be calm. So as soon as we took the stage that's when I got the most nervous. I was actually so nervous that I dropped my drum sticks before we even played the first note. But as soon as we started to play I got over my nervousness because my adrenaline took over. We ended up playing a really good show. I'm nervous right now because in a month my band plays another gig at the newport music hall downtown on OSU campus. Wish me luck!

Zombie invasion

“Hey Jason do we have band practice today?” Said Joe. “Yeah man it’s at Troy’s house.” Said Jason. “Alright let me get my guitar and we can go.” Joe grabs his vintage sunburst Gibson Les Paul. They walk out the door and get into his 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. It was his baby, his most prized possession. He got it from his uncle for 300 bucks. It took him 4 years to fix it up. They pull into Troy’s driveway and go inside to the basement. Chris, Noah and Troy are in the basement pounding a couple Mountain Dews. “What’s up dudes lets get this practice rolling.” So they get to their instruments. Joe plugs in his guitar, Troy grabs his bass, Noah is on drums and Jason is vocals. Their band name is Biohazard and they are 80’s thrash metal. They get done with their last song and Jason says, “Great practice dudes.” It’s Friday night and him and troy are going out to party for the night. They heard that Chris was having a kegger that night. Before they go they stop at seven broleven to get a 24 pack of mountain dew. Troy runs in and Joe stays in the car. He’s blaring, “You’re in love” by Ratt. All of a sudden Troy comes sprinting out and jumps into the car and yells, “GO! GO! GO!” Joe jams the car into reverse and speeds off into the night. “Did you just steal that?!” Says Joe. “Wooooo! Yeah!” Screams Troy. “You’re gonna get us arrested man!” Says Joe. They finally pull into Chris’ driveway and it’s packed full of teenagers’ cars. They walk inside and break out the 24 pack of mountain dew. They stay at Chris’ for the night and get up at noon and go to a burger joint. They get 6 cheeseburgers and scarf them down on the way home. Troy didn’t know that his was infected with the virus that turned him into a zombie. Joe drops him off and Troy walks inside and falls asleep for the rest of the day. He wakes up to a phone call from Chris. He answers “Hello?” “Dude I have some bad news” Says Chris. “What happened man?” Says Troy. “Joe is dead man.” Says Chris. “What? How? When?” Stutters Troy.” “This afternoon man, he got t-boned by a Semi-Truck going through an intersection.” “Dude I was just with him this afternoon, how could this have happened?” “I don’t know man, but hey I’ve gotta go I’ll talk to you later.” Troy hangs up the phone and falls back asleep. He wakes up and he’s a zombie. He goes downstairs and bites his mom and dad and they turn into zombies. Eventually the whole town gets bitten and turns into zombies. The only person not bitten was an outsider named Gaby. She was coming down from Hollywood, CA to visit some family. She sees that everyone in the town is a zombie and panics. She races off to a safe spot and find a gun store and buys some guns. She goes back and starts killing zombies. She finds out her family got bitten and is so devastated she takes her 9 mm. And shoots herself in the head.

movies

some of the best movies i have ever seen are the movies with adam sandler in them. for example happy gilmore, mr. deeds, anger management and many more. i like them because usually i laugh through the whole movie if adam sandler is in it. he is one of my favorite actors and i love any movie with him in it. so far there are no movies coming out that i want to see. but hopefully that will change. i love watching horror movies also. like freddy vs. jason and all the movies with either freddy or jason in them. also all the halloween movies, even the remakes by rob zombie. usually when im bored i watch horror movies. and when im with people i watch comedy movies.

Band

As many of you may or may not know i am in 2 bands at the moment. One is a hardcore metal band and another is an 80's metal band. I play drums in both bands. My hardcore metal band has played shows at the alorsa villa downtown, and we are recording out debut EP this spring with WOKE recording. This band consists of me at drums, Cooper Bourne at guitar, Jason Hulteen at vocals, and Halen Bouhadana at bass. The 80's metal band consists of me at drums, Cooper Bourne at guitar, Nathan Konik at guitar, Micheal Buschieb at bass, and no vocalist yet. Music is a very big part of my life and i hope to go far with it and someday make it big.
